Banana Cream Pie
  1. 3 Del Monte® bananas, sliced
  2. 1 (9 inch) pie crusts, baked
  3. 3 cups whole milk
  4. 3/4 cup white sugar
  5. 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  6. 3 egg yolks, beaten
  7. 3 tbsp. butter
  8. 2 tbsp. Vanilla
  1. In a large saucepan, slowly heat the milk over a medium-low heat.
  2. Stir until small bubbles appear, and then remove from heat.
  3. In another saucepan, add sugar, flour and salt, and slowly stir in the milk.
  4. Over medium heat, stir and cook until thickened.
  5. In a bowl, add 3 egg yolks and slowly stir the hot mixture into beaten yolks until thoroughly combined.
  6. Blend in the butter and vanilla.
  7. Place sliced bananas in pie shell.
  8. Pour warm mixture over bananas.
  9. Top with leftover banana slices.
  10. Place in the refrigerator for two hours before serving!
